There is something magical about this time of year. I have always thought it was a time of miracles. People seem light, happier and kindness abounds. It is a time for family and friends and good food, too much good food I think.
We cannot always be with our family at these wonderful times whether because of money, time, or distance, or all the above, but we can always connect. We can span the distances with the Internet or a phone call, but my favorite way is with the knitted gifts I have given.
When I give a gift of knitting, I am giving a part of myself, my hands created the gift. Thought and care went into choosing the yarn, the color and the design and the time to knit the item. This all coming together to make that one gift and that is magical.
I hope magic fills your holiday season and the year to come.
Happy knitting
